Big River Pizza serves delicious Neapolitan style pizzas from its oven-on-wheels at local Minneapolis/St. Paul farmers markets. Their handcrafted wood burning oven cooks their authentic pizzas hot and fast with a perfect, crispy crust every time.

Big River Pizza’s oven is hand crafted by Refratarri Valoriani, from the family of artisans that have been making wood fired ovens since 1890. The ambience created by the sights and sounds of the crackling wood fire and the aroma of hand crafted pizzas make Big River Pizza an experience not to be missed. They also do catering, private events and even weddings!

Big River Pizza uses local and sustainably grown foods wherever possible and allows them to adapt and find new ingredients and vendors as seasons and environmental factors change.  Some of their local and organic ingredients come from:

Seward Co-op: Handmade elk and hot Italian sausage

Fischer Farms: Smoked bacon and Italian sausage

Swede Lake Farms: Organic cherry tomatoes, garlic, kale and basil

Feather Stone Farms: Basil and Heirloom tomatoes

Gardens of Eagan: Basil and arugula

Laughing Stalk Farms: Red Onions

Escalon (CA): Crushed tomatoes – Organically grown and processed without added citric acid
